Sausage Tree Camp - Redefining the Safari Experience

Sausage Tree Camp has redefined the safari experience and has set the benchmark for Zambian bush chic.  The camp was rated No. 1 by the BBC's holiday program's 10 best luxury resorts of the world and was a finalist in the Best Safari Camp in Africa "Good Safari Guide" awards.

The camp has an unrivaled and privileged location within the heart of the protected and game rich Lower Zambezi National Park. Sausage Tree Camp has no boundaries and the animals are free to wander straight through and around the camp making the comfort of your tent the ideal wildlife viewing sanctuary.

Sausage Tree Camp hosts a maximum of sixteen guests, accommodated in eight large "Bedouin-style" tents dotted discreetly along the riverbank. The tents include solid Zambian teak furniture and sumptuous four-poster beds, each serviced by its own Muchinda (private butler). Each signature tent's highlight is the unique open-air en-suite bathroom for which Sausage Tree Camp has become renowned. The two "ultra luxurious" Honeymoon Suites consist of an indoor and outdoor bathroom, large teak decking with private plunge pool, mini bar with leather sofas and a view to marry for. Kigelia House, perfect for families, consists of two en-suite bedrooms, large living area, a timber deck with built in infinity pool, plus a mini bar and private dining table. The camp also offers a large swimming pool, bar and dining area which overlook the mighty Zambezi River and offer outstanding views in 360 degrees!

Sausage Tree camp offers a huge variety of activities led by our team of highly trained, qualified and well experienced professional safari guides.
